While visiting Laurie's blog I followed a link to an unbelievably delicious looking 'hygge' home! If I weren't so dependent on my latte, humbolt fog, shopping and power shower (shame on me!) i would make one of these in a heart beat! There must be a happy medium, do you think anyone would object if I built one of these in Manhattan... I suppose security might be an issue....

Liza Corbett... I am amazed... incredibly haunting yet also kind of sweet illustrations. I just bought one of her prints on the Etsy store which I can't wait to hang in my new studio when we move!
Look at these wonderful prints from ouou! I love how sharp these illustrations are and yet they are so playful! I am going to buy me an ouou on etsy, I just need to decide what it should be :)

I got a really nice big digital camera for my birthday. I needed to upgrade for the latest photo shoots I am being hired for. And while there is so many things I love about my new camera, I am such a big fan of the old school way... my dad's old manual slr with black and white film and developing my own film and printing my own pictures on good old fiber paper in a dark room! Black and white just isn't the same on a digital camera and on an Epson printer. Here are some of my Black and Whites, I will post some of my shots from the digital camera tomorrow...

All off New York is heating up for Valentine's Day. Hearts upon hearts upon love messages and chocolates abound in every store. All the restaurants are urging us to "BOOK NOW - before it is TOO LATE!" and roses are on special despite the fact that they will die before February 14th. 
Funny.....the pressure is on to love the right way or be in the dog house! So many friends fretting over the rules of the game and the protocol of courting... that is what I see in this print by cricket press... it is at times like this that I am grateful for the love in my life which is true, solid and calm. SOD THE RULES! This valentines day, dare to love your friends, love your family, love your partner or dare to love the very one you want to be your partner. Throw caution to the wind and enjoy the pure joy unfiltered affection can bring and just be happy that there is someone or something that makes you feel that way.
